The Sacred Beginning

founding

August 29, 1964 - Janmashtami

On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, a historic meeting was held at Sandeepani Sadhanalaya Ashram in Powai, Mumbai. Founding visionaries included Swami Chinmayananda, Sant Tukadoji Maharaj, Master Tara Singh, Sushil Muni, and 40 other dignitaries.

First World Hindu Conference

25,000 delegates from 12 countries and 300 prominent saints came together. Motto "Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah" adopted. Maharaja Chamraj Wadiyar declared first President.

Udupi Dharma Sansad: Breaking Barriers

Prominent saints passed a historic resolution for social harmony, declaring "Hindavah Sodara Sarve, Na Hindu Patito Bhavet" — All Hindus are brothers, no one is inferior or untouchable.
